Duration: 4.5 Hours (approx)                  Location: Fernhurst
Time 10.30am.                                  Camera: Anything with a Manual Mode.

I run regular friendly group photography workshops in West Sussex on the South coast. Mixing friendly tuition with practical creativity whilst improving your technical skills. I have designed this workshop for people with a desire to learn how to take professional Bird of prey photographs.

If this is you, My Bird of Prey Photography Workshop is the right course for you. Keeping My workshops to small groups (6) means that you receive the individual attention you need to learn and develop your skills. We will be actively taking pictures in different situations with your cameras, while you learn some of the key factors required to take a professional photograph.

Spend a day photographing New World Falconry’s Birds of Prey, Capture brilliant shots of them in flight with the beautiful countryside of the South Downs for your backdrop.

At the start of the experience you will be offered a tea or coffee before proceeding with a ‘meet and greet’ of the birds and then taken through a brief safety session on the do’s and dont’s of handling the birds. Once you are ready to continue then the real fun begins.

Are you quick enough to photograph a flying hawk?… You will be!

You are only required to bring appropriate outdoor clothing and a digital SLR camera with a medium telephoto lens. Long lenses are not required as the birds are in close proximity. The aim of this course is to provide unique opportunities whilst improving your photographic skills and Knowledge of both your camera and the birds. We will cover:

The Bird of Prey Photography Workshop will give you an understanding of the key functions of your camera and the skills required to put them to good use and begin to capture better images. The Bird of Prey Photography Workshop will cover all types of cameras with a manual mode. If you do not currently own a camera you are still welcome to attend the workshop.

We will be shooting in open locations so we can make do with any lens you have. The workshop will last approx 3 hours but is not limited! If were having fun, Then were over run!

There is an age limit of 16 for this Workshop. You can bring any camera with a manual function, From a compact camera to an advanced digital SLR! If you have any special requirements please let me know in good time.

Birds of Prey will fly right over you and your camera lens making for amazing images. The opportunity to take still images will arise throughout the day with each bird placed on a natural looking perch. You’ll be able to get close enough for some breath-taking portrait shots too!

All the while you’ll learn about Birds of Prey from around the World with experienced Falconers on hand all day to answer any questions.

Photography workshops are run throughout the year however date’s for the photography days are limited and on selected days only. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
